For the answer to your question, please, refer to our entry in the ITHANET Wiki on Splenectomy in Beta-Thalassaemia Major. Try . Dear Alexis,

would it be possible to obtain and review your journal in its complete form? I am a junior hematologist and a volunteer and adviser of a thalassemia support group in the Philippines. Besides splenectomy, I am interested in knowing your findings in terms of the other data you gathered – including changes in transfusion patterns, age at first transfusion and history of transfusion reactions.

with regards to leukoreduction, do you advocate lab or bed side (red cell filters) or both?
