Description

The Sickle Cell Support Society of Nigeria (SCSSN) is an umbrella body that brings together Nigerian doctors, scientists, NGOs and patients with interest in sickle cell disease (SCD) both within the country and in the diaspora. It was founded in 2010 and became registered in 2014 as a corporate entity. The SCSSN has a network of collaborators in 37 clinical centres across the country involved in clinical research, capacity building and advocacy. SCSSN works closely with the government for the control of SCD in Nigeria.
