About Ithanet Portal
The ITHANET PORTAL is a website dedicated to Thalassaemia. Visitors to the portal will be able to participate in the identification of areas in thalassaemia, quick exchange of information, sharing of ideas and enhancing of global awareness of pertinent issues in thalassaemia. The portal offers the latest news, techniques and information on thalassaemia and also serves as a platform in facilitating easy exchange of information and dialogues between interested groups.
Additionally, it provides easy access to international communities concerned with thalassaemia and facilitates the promotion or dissemination of findings and knowledge. This user-friendly site enables anyone at country or organisation level to view the information on the portal. Visitors are encouraged to sign-up as member and share your knowledge and experiences in thalassaemia related topics, as well as to fully enjoy the benefits of a visit to the Ithanet Portal.

The ITHANET PORTAL is currently supported by the ITHANET Consortium. This 2 year (2006-2008) project is a European Union FP6 effort to assess the importance of collaboration on thalassaemia and to provide recommendations on future options
