DEEP-1 Performing a pharmacokinetics trial of deferiprone in children up to 6 yearsDEEP is a 4-year European research Project (FP7) coordinated by Consorzio per Valutazioni Biologiche e Farmacologiche, with the scientific leadership of Prof. Adriana Ceci. The Project comprises 24 recruiting centres in European (Albania, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, United Kingdom) and non-European countries (Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia), scientific partners from several European countries and a pharmaceutical group based in Canada and in Europe. The Project has the specific aim to produce a new oral liquid formulation of deferiprone suitable for paediatric use and to integrate the existing information on deferiprone use in iron overloaded pediatric patients.
