Description
The Amsterdam Street Children Hospital is one of the largest children's hospitals in Germany. Each year approximately 11,000 children are hospitalized and 4,600 surgical procedures are carried out. There are 292 beds (of which 60 are available in the clinic for children and youth psychiatry at the Holweide site). In addition, approximately 19,000 children are examined and treated each year in the emergency ambulance for pediatrics and 15,000 children in the emergency ambulance for pediatric surgery. On the grounds of the children's hospital there is also a pediatric emergency department.
