Names

Common Name: TLR10 Type: Gene
Chromosome: 4 (NC_000004.12) Locus: NM_030956.4 (TLR10)
HUGO Symbol: TLR10 Full Name: toll like receptor 10
Exons: 4 Introns: 3

Description:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLR10 has a modulatory effect upon the inflammatory reactions exerted by other members of the TLR family. Several SNPs around TLR10 showed modest association with increasing alloantibodies in sickle cell disease.
